Hello! My name is Emanuele Verri, and I am a PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Greifswald, Germany. I will defend my thesis in November 2025. My research interests lie in discrete mathematics, algebraic combinatorics, and Hopf algebras. Recently, I have become particularly interested in counting permutation patterns — especially in developing efficient algorithms for this task and exploring their role in time series analysis (see our Global Permutation Entropy paper). I am leaving academia and am currently on the job market.
